PSA/DNA Auction Letters of Authenticity - To assure that items being auctioned by major auction houses are authentic, PSA/DNA provides a special auction authentication service. This service provides the bidder the reassurance that the items they are bidding on have been examined and deemed authentic by PSA/DNA. This reassurance is evidenced by a PSA/DNA letter of authenticity that bears a description of the item written by the auction house and PSA/DNA's statement of authenticity.

We are now offering success bidders a special discount off our regular authentication fees. As part of the PSA/DNA’s Full Authentication process, your autographed collectible will go through a four-level Authentication System. The process includes:

Step 1 - Examination: Once we receive your item, our experts conduct a physical examination as required. If necessary, the item is subjected to the scrutiny of a Video Spectral Comparator (VSC). The VSC reveals erasures, masked or obliterated signatures, differences in ink type, even high-tech tampering. And as a reference, we also have an extensive library of exemplars on the premises.

Step 2 - Anti-Counterfeit Tagging: Invisible ink laced with a synthetic DNA sequence/combination, specific to PSA/DNA and detectable only under a specially calibrated laser is applied to the object. A non-destructible label bearing an alphanumeric serial number is applied to the item in a discrete location or on the Letter of Authenticity. The choice is yours.

Step 3 - Certification: A Certificate or detailed Letter of Authenticity is issued with your item. (See chart below.) Each links your collectible to PSA/DNA. It features the date, certification number and a photo of your exact submission on watermarked paper (LOA only).

Step 4 - Documentation: All PSA/DNA authenticated autographs and memorabilia can be verified online at www.psadna.com under “Cert Verification.” To check an item’s authenticity simply enter its alphanumeric serial number, and the screen will display all the pertinent information relating to the item.
