Authentication Fees
1. Direct Mail or Show Submission:
Authentication for 1 signature ranges between $20-$250 depending upon the autograph.
Fees below $50 include a 3x5 Certificate of
Authenticity with matching serialized alphanumeric number.
Full premium Letters of Authenticity are available at an additional $10.
The option to upgrade to a Letter of Authenticity is available only at the time of submission.
Full premium Letters of Authenticity are
automatically issued for items submitted at $50 and above. No additional payment is required. For an exact price,
please search for the autograph in our fee schedule.

Authentication Fees for Multi-Signed Items
Authentication for more than one signature on an item ranges between $50-$250 depending upon the premier autograph. Refer to the chart below.

FOR EXAMPLE: To determine the fee of your item, first, look up the fee for the premier autograph. Next, count the total number of signatures.

3. Premium Item Fee:
Additional $50; Turnaround varies by demand.
Any autograph submission priced under $200 with a declared value of $1,500 or more is subject to an additional Premium Item Fee of $50. Example: A regular Mickey Mantle autograph submission is priced at $100. If the Mantle autograph is found on a bat, jersey, etc., an item that is clearly worth more than $1,500, the additional $50 will apply... resulting in a total of $150 authentication fee.
4. Encapsulation (Turnaround varies by demand):
This service is available for items such as checks, index cards, cuts, postcards, uncatalogued cards, etc. that you would like encapsulated in PSA/DNA's tamper-evident holder.
- Encapsulation, if you choose the service, is now included in the full PSA/DNA authentication fee for those items with an authentication fee of $50 or more. Those items under $50, encapsulation is only an additional fee of $10. Please refer to the autograph authentication chart for more information, www.psadna.com/fees.chtml. Please make sure to clearly mark the appropriate box for encapsulation on the submission form.
- If encapsulation in our tamper-evident holder is selected, the submitter will forgo the certificate or full premium letter, PSA/DNA tamper-evident label and DNA daub.
- If the customer chooses, they may request both encapsulation and the certificate or letter of authenticity for an additional fee of $10.
- All autographs submitted for encapsulation must be submitted as a separate order from items not to be encapsulated (separate shipping fees apply). This will ensure more efficient processing.
- Please note that encapsulation is available for items that fit in holders currently available. For additional information, please contact Customer Service.
5. On-Site Show Authentication:
On-site authentication is available at various trade shows throughout the nation and the fee ranges between $20-$250. Fees below $50 include a 3x5 Certificate of Authenticity
with matching serialized alphanumeric number. Full premium Letters of Authenticity are available at an additional $10. The option to
upgrade to a Letter of Authentictiy is available only at the time of submission. Full premium Letters of Authenticity are
automatically issued for items submitted at $50 and above. No additional payment is required.
Turnaround time is approximately 1 business day once we receive your submission. Certificates and Letters of Authenticity are issued by mail approximately 15 business days after the completion of a show.
Turnaround time is also dependent upon demand in both cases.
6. On-Site Authentication at Your Location
Private authentication at your location and auction house authentication is available. Please contact our office and speak to our representatives for details.
7. Other Services:
Bulk Authentication is available. Prices are based upon the volume and type of autographs you plan to submit. To request this service, please contact us by telephone.
PSA/DNA is hired by many leading auction houses to authenticate autographs in their catalogs prior to sale. Please look for our Pre-Certified Logo
in participating auction catalogs or web-sites. In these instances, auction letters are issued and upgrades to full premium letters are available. |
